Welwyn, herself, loves to travel and takes inspiration for her designs from the places she visits. Her trip to Japan to see 300 year old and 500 year old gardens have left lasting impressions on how she views her profession. “Flowers are made to be enjoyed for the moment; great gardens, however, can last generations” Wong philosophizes. “As landscape designers, we are the initiators of the garden’s structure. If your landscape is thoughtfully planned, nature will take its course and create some amazing places that will evolve over time.”
